Day by day

1. Day 1

   Arrive Colombo

   Bed & breakfast

   Met on arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport and transferred (about 45 minutes) to your Colombo hotel to relax after the flight.

2. Day 2

   Colombo → Kandy → Colombo

   Bed & breakfast

   Drive to Kandy (about 4 hours), stopping at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to watch the herd bathe in the river and the Kadugannawa railway museum. In Kandy, visit the UNESCO-listed Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic before returning to Colombo for the night.

3. Day 3

   Colombo at leisure

   Bed & breakfast

   A relaxed day with an optional city tour (9 am pickup; entrance fees payable directly) — the Fort district, the colourful Pettah market, the 1749 Dutch Church of Wolvendaal, the Kelaniya Temple and the National and Natural History Museums.
